On September 26, 2001 twenty seven members of the renowned children's chorus PALS, joined composer/pianist Anne Marie David to record an original song to benefit the families of the September 11th victims. Moved by the question, "What do I tell my children?" lyricist Sara Hunter, composer Anne Marie David, and children's conductor Johanna Hill Simpson have collaborated on a song for children and families. With its chorus of children's voices, "Love Lights the World" offers a message of hope, reflection, and comfort for all of us. Proceeds from the recording will be contributed to the Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund.*

PALS has appeared with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops, and the Boston Philharmonic. Since its creation in 1990 as an independent program in the Brookline Public Schools, PALS has grown to include two training ensembles, two high school ensembles and the renowned Children's Chorus.

Johanna Hill Simpson, founder and artistic director of PALS, is on the faculty of the Boston Conservatory and last year served as Assistant Conductor of the New England Conservatory Chorus.

Anne Marie David is a pianist, composer and vocalist with many recording and publishing credits in religious music. Previous CDs include: Prayer of St. Francis, and The First Morning. She is the Music Coordinator at Boston College's Institute of Religious Education and holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music.

Sara Hunter is a children's book writer and lyricist whose books include Smithsonian Notable Book for Children: The Unbreakable Code, and two children's recordings for Warner Bros. and Rhino Records: Born To Sing and Born to Sing Too.

*Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund was established to support current and future academic financial needs of all children who lost a parent during the September 11th tragedy.
